Manually install the VirtualCamera driver in 2000/XP/2003

  • Step 1.
    You must be the Administrator (or have rights to install a hardware). Copy the driver's files
  • Step 2.
    Add Hardware

  • Step 3.
    After windows finish finding Plug-in, select "Yes, I have already connected the hardware"

  • Step 4.
    Add a new hardware device

  • Step 5.
    Select manually

  • Step 6.
    Select category of Sound, video and game controllers

  • Step 7.
    Press button Have Disk

  • Step 8.
    Browse to the directory where you copy the driver's files to

  • Step 9.
    Then Next

  • Step 10.
    If you see the warning, please press Continue Anyway!

  • Step 11.
    VirtualCamera driver need Microsoft Kernel Stream support, this files (ks.sys, stream.sys etc.) may be already in your system. If not, you must insert your System CD installation to install them. (switch the instalationl folder to \system32\drivers almost ok)

  • Step 12.
    After install you can check the driver in Device Manager

    CAUTION: In windows 98, the driver's files are VirtualCam.inf and VCam.sys. Refer to Manually install driver on 98/ME
